Nikki Hendrikx

Nikki Hendrikx is a coordinator and cultural producer in the creative sector. Hendrikx was born in The Netherlands, where she received her Bachelors degree in Art Management (2010). Based in Berlin, Germany, she works closely with artists, curators and cultural entrepreneurs on various projects and fields that range from Artists-in-Residency programs to performances, exhibitions and multidisciplinary festivals. For nearly two years she was the Manager of HomeBase Project in Berlin, an international site specific Artists-in-Residency program exploring the notion of Home. In The Netherlands she worked with composer, entrepreneur and activist Merlijn Twaalfhoven for several events, including the ‘Council of Europe Conference’. Hendrikx coordinated both international non-profit as well as for-profit events such as the 7th Berlin Biennale exhibition ‘Larger than Love’, HomeBase Project booth at VOLTA art fair NYC‘12, the Utrecht Museum Night’09 and four of the three-day HomeBase Festivals. At present she is working as research coordinator, assisting artist, social entrepreneur, and founding director of HomeBase Project Anat Litwin, in a curatorial research on the topic of future possibilities for artist run residencies, taking place in four cities, supported by the Andy Warhol Foundation.
